What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

TabTrade — What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, that coverage is solid.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
